I've this habit of reading online news every morning and of course with the global economic crisis, all in the daily news were more jobs cutting in companies, companies making losses, companies closure, employees have to take pay cuts, etc.
It's quite disheartening to read this every morning and today, ABN Amro (the biggest bank in the Netherlands) is going to cut 4000-5000 jobs after the merger with Fortis Bank. On top of that Air France-KLM (biggest airline in Europe) will also be following the trend of cutting 2,700 jobs.
Sometimes I wonder if reading news these days is a good thing as all I get from it is more bad news :P
